Motivation
I don't know whether this is the best solution. GZWDer (talk) 11:45, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

- Template:Comment Hmm - seems like we really need a wikitext data type so that you don't have to pretend the non-math part of the title is actually math? ArthurPSmith (talk) 20:24, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Comment I agree we need something similar to that, but am not sure this is the best way to go about it. Here's also a query that get's works that have "Formula: see text" in their title, usually but not always due to TeX in the source title. For instance, there are also HTML and other markup tags that made their way into labels and titles here. --Daniel Mietchen (talk) 10:09, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Comment What about Template:P plus some qualifier related to the markup used? --Sabas88 (talk) 15:34, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Wo I think, rather than create other property, we should improve Template:P, in order to allow TeX code directly. --Giovanni Alfredo Garciliano Díaz ★ diskutujo 02:34, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Comment It's probably needed and I can't think of a better solution. Given the problems with the datatype, I'm not really sure we should create more of them. Maybe we could start with one for titles requiring HTML markup. --- Jura 11:32, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Wo I see the need but would oppose to just allow TeX. This is not about mathematical expressions but about textual markup. Why not Wiki-Markup or Markdown or HTML instead? CSL-JSON support a limited set of markup: bold, italic, subscript, superscript, small-caps, and "nocase". Maybe bold, italic, subscript, and superscript are enough. TeX is only one possible expression of this formatting. By the way, the examples are wrong because they also contain normal text which should not be typed in italic. -- JakobVoss (talk) 20:50, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Template:Not done Template:Ping No support this time. If really needed, suggest again with another scope, for instance "title (mathematical)".--Micru (talk) 15:10, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
